The ancient, philosophical system of Feng Shui is one that many people spend a lifetime trying to master. Others spend small fortunes trying to harmonise their life and living spaces as a means to live by its principals. But time and money shouldn\u2019t stop us all from making positive changes in our lives and surroundings \u2013 after all, Feng Shui is for everyone. As such, we\u2019ve enlisted the help of Master Kevin Lau<\/a> to share five handy tips that just about anyone can use.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

1. At Home<\/strong><\/h1>\n

<\/center><\/p>\n

In 2017, we should look to put simple, natural things in our homes. Try following these four simple rules:<\/p>\n

  1. To avoid sickness, put a music box<\/strong> with a glass of tap water on the north-western and southern parts of the home. Also, remember to play the music box once daily.<\/li>\n
  2. To\u00a0minimise negative gossip, put pink things<\/strong> in the western part of the home.<\/li>\n
  3. To enhance the wealth luck, we can put a glass of tap water<\/strong> or a water plant in the eastern side of the home.<\/li>\n
  4. To enhance your love life and\u00a0relationships with others, put a glass of tap water<\/strong> or a music box<\/strong> in the centre of the home, and remember to play the music box once daily.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2. Colours<\/strong><\/h1>\n

    <\/center>
    \nColours have an important effect on human beings, and if we use the wrong colour, we will have bad luck. Therefore, those born during spring and summer time \u2013 namely March 5 to August 7 \u2013<\/span><\/span> are recommended to use black, gold, silver, white, grey<\/strong>, or blue<\/strong>. For those born during autumn and winter time \u2013 namely August 8<\/span><\/span> to March 4 \u2013<\/span><\/span>\u00a0they are recommended to use green, cyan, red,<\/strong> orange,<\/strong> and purple<\/strong>. Colours can be applied to our clothes, accessories, hair colour, colour of our car etc.<\/p>\n

    3. The Bedroom<\/strong><\/h1>\n

    <\/center>
    \nAvoid\u00a0putting any\u00a0cacti<\/strong> or plants<\/strong> (except water plants) inside your bedroom as it will cause health issues.\u00a0In addition, you are strongly advised to have nothing above the bed<\/strong>. For example, having lights, lamps, fans, or even a crossbeam are all bad news and can cause health issues.<\/p>\n

    4. Buying a Home<\/strong><\/h1>\n

    <\/center>
    \nFrom now until 2020, I suggest buying your home in areas or districts which face \u201cwest or southwest water<\/strong>\u201d and \u201ceast or northeast mountain<\/strong>\u201c, as this will be of benefit to your wealth as well as your overall luck financially. For example, in Hong Kong that would be good are Sheung Wan, Sai Wan, Pok Fu Lam, Aberdeen,\u00a0Tsim Sha Tsui, Olympic City, Lai Chi Kok, Tsuen Wan, and Tuen Mun.<\/p>\n

    5. Top Piece of Advice Given out in Consultations<\/strong><\/h1>\n

    \nIn traditional Feng Shui, we will divide a whole apartment or space into nine areas, and according to the accurate direction of the main entrance, there are several formulas that we can calculate and determine which area is good<\/strong> and which is bad<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    If someone is sleeping in the worst area of the house, based on its location \u2013 such as a bedroom, or in the kitchen of an apartment, we call this area the \u201cpermanent sickness and bad place\u201d<\/strong>. He or she will have bad luck with regards to their wealth, career, and relationships with others. I will ask them to put some specific things in the kitchen or bedroom in order to counteract or minimise the negative effects.<\/p>\n
